Overview

1Fi is a finance platform that enables users to borrow against their mutual fund investments. This redesign explores how the mobile experience can be made clearer, more structured, and easier to understand for everyday users.

1Fi — One Finance App Redesign

The project focuses on simplifying a finance-heavy experience by improving the way financial information, benefits, and actions are presented.

The redesign aims to create a more approachable interface while maintaining the core functionality of the product. A cleaner visual hierarchy, simplified components, and consistent navigation help users understand the borrowing journey with less cognitive effort.

Existing Experience

The original experience provides the core functionality for borrowing against mutual funds, but presents a large amount of financial information across different sections and components.

The existing interface uses a purple and blue visual language with multiple cards, buttons, and information blocks. While the required information is available, the experience can feel visually dense and requires users to process several elements before identifying the most important actions.

This became the starting point for exploring a simpler structure, stronger hierarchy, and a more approachable visual direction.

Redesign Approach

The redesign introduces a cleaner and more approachable visual system while reorganizing the existing information into clearer sections and more prominent actions.

The redesigned experience uses a fresh green visual language to create a more consistent and recognizable interface. Information is grouped into focused sections, making benefits, eligibility, available balance, and financial actions easier to scan.

Rounded cards, simplified controls, clearer spacing, and stronger call-to-action placement help reduce visual complexity while keeping the core functionality intact.

The goal was not to change what the product does, but to make the experience easier to understand and navigate.

Key Improvements

The redesign focuses on improving hierarchy, clarity, navigation, and the overall visual consistency of the finance experience.

The main improvements include a clearer information hierarchy, simplified content presentation, more visible primary actions, and a consistent visual system across the screens.

The wallet experience brings important financial actions such as withdrawal, repayment, transactions, and credit-limit management into a more organized layout. The QR scanning experience is also kept focused on a single primary task, reducing unnecessary distractions.

Overall, the redesign aims to make a complex financial product feel simpler, clearer, and more approachable.
